The BMW X5 has successfully pioneered premium SUV vehicles with unibody construction and independent suspension. With this uniqueness, the BMW X5 was immediately recognized as an SUV that excels in comfort, road capability, and of course performance. No wonder BMW prefers to call it a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) because it has a greater ability in various activities.

Now, the BMW X5 has entered the age of more than 15 years and comes with a generation that is increasingly sophisticated and modern. There are more competitors, therefore BMW is getting better by perfecting its new X5. This is a petrol-engined X5 with the xDrive35i xLine type. It's not a new generation, but BMW provides enough changes to pamper the driver and rear passengers.

In plain view, it is no different from the diesel engine variant. His body still looks muscular and manly with a distinctive front appearance thanks to the chrome-plated kidney grille design that is attached to the headlamps. While the front bumper also looks even more sporty with a chrome affix at the bottom of the fog lamp, without losing the tough character of the X5. The rearview looks even more masculine thanks to the chrome-plated LED taillights and diffuser. The 19-inch rim design also looks more luxurious with dual tones.

Entering the cabin, you will be spoiled by the luxury typical of BMW. The brown Dakota leather upholstery combined with the American Oak leather upholstery ensures the comfort of whoever is in it. The panoramic roof also adds to the impression of being spacious and also premium.

The entertainment system on the front is equipped with the latest iDrive Touch. Now the 10.2-inch Control Display screen has adopted a touch screen and has Indonesian language features and a parking camera is also available. This entertainment system is also integrated with the BMW navigation system.

Meanwhile, the second row gets a 9.2-inch screen that can display digital TV and DVD with USB that can play movies apart from entertainment in the front cabin. The sitting position in the second row is very comfortable with a roomy leg and headroom.

Behind the bonnet is the X5 petrol main weapon, a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with a turbo. Combined with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, the result is that the X5 has a total power of 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque. When invited to sprint on the freeway, the X5 petrol is able to provide a very responsive burst of power significantly, provided that your driving mode is set in Sport or Sport +. If you drive in a traffic jam in the city, it's a good idea to set the mode in Comfort or better in Eco Pro to get better fuel consumption, thanks to the auto start/stop system.

As an SUV, facing bumpy road surfaces, speed traps, and bumps do not cause significant distraction when driving with the X5. Even with the Sport driving mode, this car still feels comfortable thanks to the Adaptive Suspension which is able to adjust the damping characteristics to changing road conditions and driving situations.

Maneuvering with the X5 feels easy, thanks in part to its accurate steering and lightness when driving in the city. It is undeniable that the advantages of controlling the X5 have obtained thanks to the use of the xDrive four-wheel-drive system that works around the clock. Combined with Dynamic Performance Control, this feature is integrated with the rear differential which can adjust the distribution of power distribution to each wheel as needed.

Even though there are minimal significant changes from the exterior and interior sectors, with the touch screen and the use of Indonesian in the X5 infotainment system, BMW is no longer behind all its competitors.
